RIFF Box

RIFF Box works at the board level: connect through JTAG or eMMC ISP, then use RIFF JTAG Manager and the matching model package to access device memory or run a supported repair operation. Its eMMC Support Activation is a permanent, one-time licence for the registered box—not a per-operation credit balance.

🔧 eMMC and JTAG work

JTAG Manager provides direct eMMC/SD read and write, chip identification, and access to register fields such as OCR, CID, CSD and EXT_CSD. It also includes eMMC firmware read/update functions, CMD42 lock and unlock, forced erase of a locked user area, and Samsung eMMC factory erase. JTAG access supports model-specific memory read/write and boot repair through the relevant repair package.

For eMMC ISP, connect the box to the chip’s required signals; the hardware may need modification or an external adapter. In JTAG Manager, select the device’s model package and download the corresponding support files through the registered account.

⚙️ Setup and licence

RIFF Box requires the hardware interface, JTAG Manager on a Windows PC, a registered Turbo Support account, and an internet connection for updates and licence downloads. Windows 10 compatibility is listed for RIFF Box v2; the setup FAQ also lists Windows XP, Vista and 7, with Windows 8/10 tested.
